History of the Artifact
The Triceratops was a herbivorous dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, approximately 68-66 million years ago. It was known for its distinctive appearance and was one of the largest land animals of its time. The Triceratops had a large, sturdy body with four stout legs and a thick tail. Its body was covered in rough, bumpy skin. One of its most prominent features was a bony frill, which was a large, triangular plate that extended from the back of its skull and curved outward.
The Triceratops also had three prominent horns: a single horn on its snout and two larger horns above its eyes. These horns could grow up to several feet in length. The Triceratops had a beak-like mouth with rows of teeth that it used to chew on plants. Overall, the Triceratops was an impressive dinosaur with a unique appearance, known for its size, horns, and frill.
